A free, two-day professional development seminar,
open by application to teachers and scholars of writing at any institution of higher education in the Boston area.

The Summer Institute is for Boston-area instructors whose primary focus is teaching college writing. First-time participants, teachers at two-year colleges, graduate-student teachers, and part-time instructors are encouraged to apply, as are experienced faculty.

The two days will include interactive, hands-on workshops facilitated by local composition scholars with readings distributed in advance. Participants will choose specific workshops to attend, in addition to the keynote addresses, a BRAWN general meeting, and time for informal conversation and socializing.

The Institute will be limited to 60 participants. All Institute readings are included free of charge.
